Everyone is saying that this is the Year of the Tiger and that we can use this opportunity to start a big campaign to save the last remaining tigers in the wild. The impeding extinction of tigers may be one of the saddest stories of human stupidity and greed that we'll be witness to in our lifetimes. The New York Times just had an article about the issue that is both depressing and educational.
I would like to think that we can save the tigers... but at this rate and with our track record... well, I'm not hopeful. However, if we all band together and begin to make a concerted effort to save them, perhaps we will be able to! Spread the word and support the NGOs that are working to save the tigers!
